About us
Nine years in the trade. Six building this shop. One standard of work.
I am Fabricio Ríos Ortiz, founder of Uvita Body Shop. I entered the industry in 2017 after years of watching my father fix problems with his hands — and I decided mine would be fixing what others wrote off.
In 2020 I opened the shop in Uvita with a simple idea: bring Costa Ballena the finish quality you usually only see in San José. No rushed jobs, no yard paint jobs, no "good enough". If it is not perfect, it does not leave the shop.
Today we handle frame repair, full resprays, touch-ups, dent repair and accessory installs for the entire South Zone — Uvita, Dominical, Ojochal, Bahía Ballena. We run Roberlo, BESA, 3M and VICCO because they are the same systems dealerships use — and our written warranty depends on materials that last.
The shop is mine, but the finish belongs to everyone: the customer who trusts us with the car, the team that preps it, and the controlled booth where every coat cures to spec. We do not patch cars up — we restore them.
The crew
Five craftsmen who pull, prep, paint and check every car that comes through. Years of trade between them, one standard between us.

01
Paint prep & assembly
Masks, primes and lines panels up for color — then reassembles with the gaps and fit the factory intended.

02
Paint prep & assembly
Builds the surface and hardware path into the booth: prep through fit-up so color goes on clean and the car goes back together tight.

03
Painter & prep
Runs the gun and the prep work around it — the mix, the coats, and the substrate work the datasheet never fully covers.

04
Welding & assembly
Repairs structure, welds panels and puts metal back where it belongs so paint has a solid foundation.

05
Straightening & detailing
Pulls sheet metal true, then finishes the car to the standard we sign off on before it leaves.
